ARA Review by Israel GLELE of In It Together

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

Sure, here is my review of the book In it Together: The Beautiful Struggle That Unites Us All by Eckhart Aurelius Hughes. This book is a work of non-fiction that encourages readers to discover their true selves by eliminating the categories that we and society place on us. The book shows how the phrases "self-discipline" and "spiritual freedom" refer to the same thing. In the way the book uses the terms, being "disciplined" is being "free-spirited," and vice versa. The book uses a friendly, kind, loving, and humorous tone to link philosophy, spirituality, and personal development with universal truths from all ages, regions, and epochs. It includes quotes from a variety of philosophers, artists, scientists, and spiritual teachers, including Albert Einstein, Alan Watts, Carl Jung, Osho, Sam Harris, Ram Dass, Meister Eckhart, Eckhart Tolle, Rabbi Tina Sobo, Friedrich Nietzsche, David J Mauro, Vincent Van Gogh, George Bernard Shaw, Socrate, Voltaire, Voltairine de Cleyre, Jesus, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Shakespeare, René Descartes, Rev. Dr. John Watson, and both a prisoner named Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn and the man who imprisoned him.

I give this book a rating of 4 out of 5. The book is well-written and easy to read. The ideas presented are interesting and thought-provoking. The book is also very inspiring and encouraging. However, there are a few negatives to consider. First, the book can be a bit repetitive at times. Additionally, some of the ideas presented in the book may seem a bit far-fetched or difficult to understand for some readers. Finally, the book may be a bit too spiritual for some readers who prefer a more practical, down-to-earth approach.

The book is divided into several chapters, each addressing a different topic. The first chapter deals with self-discipline and spiritual freedom. The second chapter deals with how we perceive ourselves and how it affects our lives. The third chapter deals with how we can use meditation to improve our lives. The fourth chapter deals with how we can use creativity to improve our lives. The fifth and final chapter deals with how we can use compassion to improve our lives.

Overall, I recommend this book to anyone interested in philosophy, spirituality, and personal development. The book is well-written, easy to read, and contains interesting and thought-provoking ideas. While there are a few negatives to consider, I think the positives far outweigh the negatives. If you're looking for an inspiring and encouraging book that will help you discover your true self, then this book is for you.
