This Side of Darkness offers deep insights into states depression that help those who are experiencing it directly, while also helping all readers to understand people in our lives who might be struggling with various mental health issues and emotional struggles as well.

When in many cases, we might feel confused about what we are experiencing and sink deeper into despair and hopelessness, the book offers alternative outlooks to emerge out of darkness.

This book really reveals what depression is and what it is not, and it highlights the importance of understanding how one's suffering with hopelessness and despair is not only a spiritual or mental matter but a physiological and chemical imbalance that could be treated.

All in all, the author has an inspiring way to articulate her struggles with a tone of empowerment and inspiration to others! It's an uplifting book that is full of lessons on strength, hope and determination to overcome difficulties. Thus I decided to give the book a 5 out of 5 rating because it's brilliantly touching and well put.
