ARA Review by Steven Smith 11 of In It Together

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

In Eckhart Aurelius Hughes' book, In It Together: The Beautiful Struggle Uniting Us All, the author attempts to explore the concept of unity and overcoming struggles in society. However, the execution of this exploration falls short, resulting in a book that is confusing, disjointed, and ultimately unsatisfying.

One of the main issues with this book is the lack of coherence in the author's arguments. Hughes jumps from one topic to another without providing clear connections or explanations. This leads to a disjointed reading experience, making it difficult for the reader to understand the main points the author is trying to convey.

Additionally, Hughes' writing style is overly verbose and convoluted, making it challenging to follow along. The language used in the book is often pretentious and obscure, creating a barrier between the author and the reader. This highbrow language may be off-putting to many readers and detracts from the overall message of unity and struggle that Hughes is trying to convey.

Furthermore, the book lacks depth and insight into the issues it purports to address. Instead of providing nuanced analysis and thoughtful reflections, Hughes relies on surface-level observations and cliches. This results in a shallow exploration of important societal issues, leaving the reader feeling unsatisfied and unenlightened.

Moreover, the organization of the book is haphazard and confusing. Chapters seem to be randomly scattered throughout the text, without a clear structure or flow. This lack of organization makes it difficult for the reader to follow the author's train of thought and further detracts from the book's overall impact.

In conclusion, In It Together: The Beautiful Struggle Uniting Us All by Eckhart Aurelius Hughes is a disappointing and poorly executed exploration of unity and struggle in society. The lack of coherence, verbose writing style, shallow analysis, and confusing organization all contribute to a book that ultimately fails to engage the reader or provide any meaningful insights. I would not recommend this book to anyone looking for a thoughtful and coherent exploration of these important themes. Overall, I rate this book 1 out of 5.
