ARA Review by Marin Mandel of A Tale of Three Weddings

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

A Tale of Three Weddings is a short and sweet, love story. I enjoyed the characters, overall plot, and dialogue.

Some of the aspects of the plot are very relatable to 21st-century women, but then you are hit with an unrealistic twist as to why the main character was put into her situation.

I do not necessarily agree with the title of this book. It is a little misleading into thinking that there will be more drama than there actually is. Upon reading the title, I expected three brides, or at least three weddings at the main character was personally involved in besides her work.

I think this short story has a lot of potential in being a very interesting novel if it were longer and had more going on towards the ending. The idea that her ex husband was not able to contact her at all, besides sending letters, left me a little disappointed. I questioned the time period this book was written for. I felt the ending was a little bit rushed, and would have enjoyed furthering the storyline.

If you are looking for a quick, lighthearted read, then this is a good option for that purpose. For these reasons, I rate this book a 3 out of 5.
