ARA Review by Readwriteenneri of Dancing With Housework

The ARA Review Exchange is a system in which authors review other authors' books, generlaly in exchange for getting their own book reviews by other authors. However, the person who reviews a author's book is not the same person whose book that author reviewed. This way, author reviews do not influence each other, such as by an author being inclined to reward a good review by deliving one in return or deliver a negative review as revenge.

Dancing with Housework was a great guide to encourage people to look at housework with a new mindset and become more effective in the mundane everyday task so that it doesn't need to feel like a chore or a burden or become overwhelming. I like the light-hearted approach and incorporation of the author's personal experiences and struggles with housework within the book.

This book helps the reader to relate and to also reframe their thinking about housework in general. The housework pyramid is a great tool to help you prioritise different types of housework and put them into categories according to the importance and expected frequency of cleaning. This approach can be easily adaptable and modified according to your individual needs as well.

It is an easy book to read and will be a great help to anyone who feels overwhelmed by housework to feel less stressed and burdened by the task. Each chapter is relatively short to read and focused on a particular theme or topic. It breaks down all the rooms of a house and how to plan a cleaning schedule.

Housework can be something that is enjoyable and meaningful if you shift your perspective and mindset and try some of the strategies from this book.

There are some minor errors in grammar and formatting, that could be improved to bring my rating up. However, for what it is and its basic use as a guide to introduce a gentle approach to housework, it is a good start and light read for those looking for something short, sweet and to the point.

Rating 3/5
