As intense as The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath.

I didn't put the book down in my case, on the contrary I wanted to find out what would happen next...the scene where Larry looses his left arm and leg was horrifying for me I wailed....uncontrollably it was like a video like a movie

That's what happens when I read too! I teach children with reading disabilities and it floors me every time one tells me that he/she "hates" reading because it's just words on a page. They either can't or don't (it differs by the child) just automatically see it as if it were a movie! Of course it's boring like that!! Thanks so much for stopping in and commenting!

The unimaginable vastness of the ocean is in itself a very scary thought. On top of this, the whole novel deals with the ocean and the story of being lost and found. For those who are weak at heart, the novel can be pretty scary, yet thought provoking. The novel can intrigue a person as well as terrify him to his core.

Definitely intriguing and intense. I feel this was a book which without a doubt awakened intense emotions in its readers.

Full on intense . I never going to the ocean ever after reading this book it was full on.

Every chapter was suspenseful. If only I can read it none stop, then I would. It was very engaging and I wanted to read it until the end.

I really enjoyed the suspense in the book. At some point, I thought the will not reach their destinations especially the ending part which was filled with suspense of getting to Williams.

It is frightening to the born marrow. Even in my dreams I wouldn't want to be in such a situation because I will lack even the least strength to swim. I would feel incapacitated.

I had recurring nightmares when I was a little girl about being lost and alone at sea clinging to a large buoy. I love the beach, but you won't catch me going beyond the breakers. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts with us!
