I think Sarah was my favorite. She was so positive and determined. She was an inspiration to everyone around her.

Many of the characters are unforgettable. But I choose Pete as my favorite. He was the ideal father. I was happy for his good fortune and hope he can keep Sam with him.

My favorite was William. He was thinking about everyone else before himself the whole book. He is a hard worker, and a good father too! I can picture myself sitting around a campfire with him, listening to one of his tales on the untamed sea...

My favorite character was Sarah. She was wise beyond her years. She kept a positive attitude and outlook when it came to knowing Williams survival skills and that they would find him alive. I also believe she held the spirit of the storyteller that William mentioned. Which was also his grandmother.

I loved him too. I never read Strong Heart so I only got to see the side of Pete that was in Adrift. Now I'm considering going back and reading the other book so I can read more about him and some of the other characters.

I liked Sarah. I loved her optimism. In spite of such hopeless situations, she didn't seem to lose her spirit.

Sarah was the favorite of all the characters.

For you to see someone as strong and brave as Sarah. She faced all challenges that came her way and was never ready to give up.

What can be more awesome like such act.

I liked many of these characters. I think William was my favorite because he was so inspiring and hardworking. His stories also helped the crew which also showed his selfless nature.

Because of so many characters, this is a tough decision. However, I would have to say William. He is silent, resourceful, and a leader.

I adored Pete, he had the best sense of humor in my opinion and to be put through all he has and still be as pleasant as he is, is quite the indicator of a genuinely nice character. But, the most interesting character to read about was Louise, her struggles with what she had thought was her husband cheating on her and later on her coping with his death, made for such a compelling read.

I would say Steve because he really showed compassion for his crew and leadership as well. I also like William and I'm glad he did not die. Both men were exemplary in the face of trials. Travis also grew on me because he stepped in when he did not need to on more than one occasion. I think I find a bit of myself in him.

I liked William best. He had a good heart, was nice to other people and he always tried to keep their hopes up while on the island. He seemed like a person who was at peace to himself and I think the others could feel it too.

I liked the characters. My favorite would be William because of his calm way of approaching the many situations he was faced with.

I actually read this book to review it, so I looked at some forum topics and wrote them down so I could take notes while reading. This topic, however, I had no notes on because it was sooooooooooo hard for me to decide who my favorite was!!!!

After really thinking about it I narrowed it down to 3.

Travis: I really liked getting his point of view on what was going on. I think it was because he wasn't a normal "sailor" so he kind of had a different point of view.

William: His stories were so interesting and I liked his point of view on what was going on with those who were stranded.

Anne: She had such a good attitude and seemed like a fighter. She carried her own with the boys (and surpassed some) and was so brave. I really wish some of the book had been written from her point of view!

Travis! I loved his inner monologue and he seemed like such a genuine guy, also he was stuck in a low-paying job just for job security and I could relate to being in that situation.
