Ever since reading Strong Heart, I wanted to know more about Sergei and Myra. Though they started off at the wrong foot, there was always an understated attraction between them. This book gave us more of Myra and Sergei. However, I wanted to read more about them. Sergei came into the picture towards the end. Also, we did not get a definitive answer on what happened to their relationship after their trust to Haida Gwaii. I really want to know that.

What about You? Please share your thoughts.

Invthis book, their relationship was kind of in the background and I didn't think about it that much. They are perfect for each other, but the distance is a huge obstacle.

Perhaps the beginning of their story was being laid down in the first two books to be explored further in future books. I, too, want to know more about where their relationship with each other will go.

Exactly my point. I want to know how they work around that obstacle. Also, I wanted to see more of them in this book.

Maybe, that is it. I hope we get to see that in the future books.

This particular trait of weaving understated romantic story lines with finesse is rare among writers. I would love to see how it develops in the future books.

I didn't read the first two books, so I don't really know much about what happened between them before. It really did stay in the background during this story.

I think I have to agree with this. I never really paid attention to them since I did not read Strong Heart and that survival was my main focus. If ever I did read Strong Heart, I think I would have noticed them.

Myra and Sergei's "relationship" really doesn't do anything for me. It seemed like an afterthought in both books.

Hopefully, we will find out more in the next book. First I need to read the first book.

It would be interesting to see where their relationship goes. I have not read Strong Heart yet so I wasn’t very invested in their possible relationship. It was more of a passing thought in this book.

It would definitely be nice to read more and find out what happens to them. It appears very likely that they may be something big in store for us. How events turn out sometimes is totally surprising.

I wish I knew more about their courtship and coupling, but I haven't read the first book so all I got was background romance and implications. Nonetheless, I'm intrigued by what they have. How did the two meet anyway?

I haven't read any of the other books, so I don't know much about Myra and Sergei's past.
I didn't particularly feel connected to either of the characters.

It was interesting to see Myra developed more in this book. Both she and Sergei are scientists. Sergei has a life of traveling and presenting at conferences while Myra is deeply enmeshed in tribal life within her community. It would be fascinating to see how the author would bring these two together.
