The Giver by Lois Lowry is a good dystopian novel. So is Altered Carbon by Richard.K.Morgan

I would recommend TJ Berry's Space Unicorn Blues and Five Unicorn Flush. They are easy reads, very interesting, and have a lot of action. The writing is great, and I find myself wanting more, even though she only has two books out so far.
