No book can bring an end to Christianity. Otherwise, books of this nature written over the centuries would have long buried Christianity.

This is very true indeed. I believe there are more books buried in book stores and personal libraries that could have ended Christianity rather than a book such as this.

One thing that I will live to appreciate is how Jesus and the entire Bible prepares believers for such things as this. The Bible states explicitly that in the end times such teachings will come and we are to stand in the Word, built firm and rooted in it.

Ooh no! Thats too much for the book, even if the whole world were to read it. It will just make most christians angry. If it is a matter of destruction, then i believe the book, or rather the author, may experience more of it than christianity.

That's a realistic statement, Lisa. It might cause some waves or a chain reaction on a limited level, but is less probable to end such power as Christianity.

This one little book (or rather, short dissertation)...end Christianity? Nope. I keep thinking up scenarios where this could be possible, and....nothing. A major catastrophic event could take place and I'm not sure it would even end then.

Thank you so much for your words! How encouraging to hear someone express what I believe. There are so many religions and different views that it seems that the simplest is the hardest to do. It truly is hard/ easyto stay on that narrow path , which to me isn't tiny but everything. With God's guidance you can in fact move mountains.

A book alone won't be the end of Christianity; the dissemination of other religions, such as Islam, has a stronger chance.

The idea that Judas was a bigger sacrificial figure than Jesus is not new; even the Judas in "Jesus Christ Superstar" says something along these lines.

This book, however, will add to the discussion of how to interpret the Bible: this, in my opinion, is key for religions to modernize themselves and continue on stronger than before.

Of course not, at all, I think that this book only proposes a hypothesis that has not been proven. The main belief is based on the fact that Jesus is the Son of God and that he remains in the minds and hearts of Christians around the world.

I doubt that it would end Christianity. I don't think it could even dampen or impede its spread. It's merely another way of looking at events, proposing that what people have been taught and led to believe may not be correct, or at least not the whole story, and it presents another take. I don't think it's necessarily an attack on Christianity. It's more of a "think of it this way" kind of fresh take on an age old story. It's no doubt difficult for some people to be willing to listen to, what with how much the old story has been ingrained into religious society.

I think it's an interesting take on events, but in no way is it a threat to anyone's beliefs even if it challengs them.

I am not a Christian but i know one thing for certain, one book written by a human can't end a religion.

I think people are very invested in their religious convictions. Even a book with strong arguments is unlikely to do more than cause a moment of discomfort for a reader. Some people do change religious views over time, but I believe that is due to multiple messages from multiple sources with the "in real life" contacts having the most impact. Someone on the edge might, perhaps, react to the book, but the foundation would need to be in place first.

So many writers like Dan brown has come with such unorthodox opinions but still Christianity is unaffected. i don't think so a writer or two can ever put an end to Christianity. I believe things like religion or belief take more than a millennium to even face a slight change. Christianity has existed since early and i don't think much of a change can this book bring in this world.

I think that different forms/interpretations of Christianity (or any religion) are constantly ending and being birthed, and that's cannot be purely the fault of any one book.
