It was a wonderful premise with poor execution. I think some of the characters could have been better written and so could have their interactions. That aside, I think someone out there would enjoy this book. At present, I give it 2 out of 4 stars.

I couldn't make it past the first two chapters. It just didn't interest me. In the beginning Cynth and Glenn should be talking about the plan of action but the conversation is about Cynth's boyfriend making it clear this is more about romance than a spy thriller. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind suspense and romance but instead of setting up the stakes of what would happen if they fail they set up how unhappy she is with her boyfriend.

From what I’ve read about this book so far, it doesn’t seem like it’s one that would interest me. It’s kind of confusing as to what the author wants it to be. It sounds like it goes between a book for teens and adults.

I enjoyed the part near the end focused on hacking into the extremist computers. Some parts of the book seemed neutral, they weren't really building up to anything.

I have pretty much liked the book. It's a romantic story filled with suspense at the same time. The plot is really engrossing and the characters too are interesting in their own places. I will rate it 3 out of 4 stars. :)

I like that the book starts off fast paced. The very real threat of drones and terrorists is used to give the book a more realistic plot line. Online hacking is majorly still viewed as more of an underground activity only used by the government or by the black market and it makes for a interesting read.

I did enjoy the character of Cynthia and especially liked the image of her zipping through the city in her gorgeous little MX5, top down, wind in her hair and looking stunning.

There were several parts f this book I enjoyed reading. The cyber war and taking down the websites makes you wonder if we have people doing that now. It's scary to think that drones could be used to take out the president. I liked how the author left you with some questions about who could be behind the attack. I wasn't very impressed with Cynthia. She was so careful and cautious about security. I felt she should have figured out that Dan was spying on her sooner. I would give this book a 3 out of 4 stars

Overall, I didn't really enjoy this book very much. I thought the cyber attack portion of the book and the drones had potential, although I feel like the author might have been a little discriminatory in the way that she wrote some of that section. Mostly, I disliked the characters, especially Cynthia, Dan, and Sky. Their character's were not well developed and I did not connect to anyone of them. I thought Cynthia was shallow and clueless, Dan was creepy and over protective, and Sky was coming on strong too quickly. He didn't even know Cynthia and was already proposing to her. In fact, they got married and they didn't know anything about each other. Simply put, it was badly written and underdevelped. Unfortunately, I have to give it only 2 stars. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Overall, this is not a book I could enjoy as much. This fiction tried to bring a love question (love or lust) into a political background. The idea is good. However, the book fail to draw a larger picture of the environment where the story happened. The book also lacks vivid descriptions of the characters. So the story turns pale to read. This book can be improved.

With the lack of well-written and well-developed characters, I'd rate this 2 out 4 stars. The cyberwar part was interesting but I think it was overshadowed by the lack of personality of Cynthia and the ongoing "war" between her and Dan, and unfortunately the shallow character of Sky.

I don't think that this sounds like a novel I would like to read. Generally, I do enjoy reading about the age of online technology, but it sounds like the characters are not believable or well developed.

maggi3 wrote: 01 Jun 2019, 00:15 I didn't really like the book. The issue with the drones was interesting, but the love story aspect kind of ruined it for me. It was a clear case of insta-love, and I found Sky's character to be very cliche. He's another perfect, mysterious love interest who always knows exactly what Cynthia needs. I also thought the title was a bit misleading because, although Dan has a significant role in the book, it isn't about him and Cynthia, but Cynthia and Sky. It also felt a bit like the author was trying to justify cheating in certain parts, which I disliked. I liked the twist at the end, but I saw it coming. I also appreciated the addition of further information for taking Plan B One-Step at the end of the book. Overall, I would not recommend this book. It might appeal to some, but it wasn't for me.
I'm always hesitant to read a book with romance in it because I often end up feeling like it's cliche or forced and it just ends up taking away from the overall story.

I think this novel Cynthia and Dan: Cyber Wars was an interesting. It depicts the reality in the society today and I loved it for that. I would rate this novel at 4 out of 4 stars.

I'm not a fan of this romance books, but did like the espionage part of it. It is what our our society is about today which made a nice read. I'd rate a 3 out of 4 stars.
