I found so much been embolden rather distracting, I haven't come across this before in a book, tho I do mainly use audible now

What was your opinion on their use?
If you felt they were overused, then which chapter or scene did it for you?
(Mine was in the beginning of the book during a sexual scene between Cynthia and Sky... written as (This section is rated R) )
I actually listened to the audio book. But I heard this line too. I did not know there were phrases in bold.

Same! I neglected the subtitles which gave away the story. I don't know why some authors do this! But the R-rated warning put me off. It screamed immaturity.

Definitely agree, felt like it was breaking the fourth wall too much.

I did not bother about that. I was busy trying to get myself out of the confusion this book threw me into.

I didn't bother much about them after I realised it happened frequently.

I did not have any issues with the embolded wordings. Besides, it helped me to know what I was to expect in the course of reading

I agree with you, though they didn't bother me as much as other things in the book

I was so lost trying to get the realistic possibility of the story and also trying to put up with the poorly developed characters than bother over embroiled text.

I wasn't really bothered by them. It was used for clarification by the author.

I believe it is unnecessary because every reader should have read the description and be prepared to read what they are about to read.
