Did the author overuse emboldened subtitles in chapters?

For me, it was just the "This scene is rated R". It was unnecessary. Other than that, the rest didn't bother me.

At first, I did not notice it, but when I did it almost made me lose interest in reading the book. It just changed the flow I had with the book from the beginning.

They got me to stop every now and then and did interrupt the flow of the story quite a few times.
