I love it when authors do this. I think if a book inspires a person to learn more and they are directly provided articles like in this book, they are more likely to continue to read them. I love the tangents that books make me go down and having the resources at the back is a wonderful bonus.

I can’t see why having a bibliography would be a negative thing. If you don’t want to look at the material, you don’t have to. But I think it provides a really nice way for readers to further engage with the subject material and could be super interesting for reading around the text.

I am so much into research and appreciate when sources are included; like in this book. Others may not like the addition of sources, but I believe they do no harm.

Usually, bibliography is used in academic writing. But I suppose the author wanted his story to interest the readers to know more?

I recall reading a few other books that had similar information added at the end. As someone who reads everything from discarded pamphlets to outdated encyclopedia books, I read through such literature because I've always been surprised by little nuggets of interesting information in the oddest of places. I think writing is an activity that involves as much widespread research as it is possible.

Adding those articles there is not really a bad idea. The information there may be new to some people.

There is a whole host of standards by which you can judge a book like this. First, you have to ask yourself whether the bibliography has credible sources. Then, you have to ask if those sources can be useful to the less informed. All in all, I think the bibliography is up to the mark.

Since it is fiction, I wouldn't have included a bibliography. :eusa-think:

I was surprised to find those resources. I didn’t read them, but I thought it might be helpful for someone who needed that information or who was just curious.

I think that every writer's imagination differ in every way, so if I was using that articles, my created story must have differed alot. If those articles are triggering imaginations, then surely they are useful.

As per me, I think it was essential for the resources to be added because some readers may want to read further and thus needing the resources by the author.

Same here. Besides the security stuff I learnt about these contraceptive methods, plan B at medical school. But this will be useful for some female readers. Especially how they work to prevent pregnancy and the success rate which are not that common factors.

The author tried to provide some authenticity to the book by providing these articles. The story itself did not convey that the author had done prior research. It seemed that the author picked some interesting topics and jammed them up into a story.

I appreciated the sources, but wished the sentence structure was easier to read through in terms of the actual plot.

I did not try to bother myself about any article. I was too busy trying to understand the contradicting storyline. It could be important to some readers who were intrigued by this book.
