Halfway through the book, I am also feeling the same. Little technical research would have been fine since the book is about cyberwars. If the book was about Cynthia, her character development is not justified.

No,nothing comes easy.Even the simplest of events, happenings or action, there is always a bit of technicality, understanding, comprehension and application so as to achieve an end goal.

I have to agree, the lack of resistance seemed to make the CyberWar less of an accomplishment and more of as something that was easy to do. The book seemed to skim the surface with things that could have been developed much more. I think that if the beginning of the CyberWar resulted in them having more losses or them being revealed to a opposing side would make the risks of the CyberWar more real.

Since the cyber war is the main conflict of the book, it warrants high stakes. Without that, there is no real risk to the war, which makes it seem unrealistic and not as serious as it was made out to be. They should have faced more consequences because the war seemed way too easy. At that point, it shouldn't even be called a "war".

It was definitely oversimplified, but I think that's just the kind of book this is. It read to me like a Lifetime movie: something simple to entertain you and maybe introduce you to a job or lifestyle you haven't been exposed to before. It's definitely not everyone's cup of tea, judging by the comments in the forum, but I do think there is a specific reader for this type of over the top drama.

I think that was the climax of the book and it was not easy. I believe the author must have had quite a challenge writing that section of the book.

It ws easy yet educative. Though it is fiction, it's a great mind provoking book.

Yes, cyberwar was an easy operation in the book. Maybe the author could have added bit more details but on the other hand too much technical details can be quite boring.

I could think of so many alternate plots and character development strategies that could have shifted the story towards a more realistic end. A good editing job would have easily improved the book.

I think Cyber-war is based on know-how. The book made it so easy. No suspense and that makes the book boring at some point.

I think that Dorothy made the cyber war seem easy because she wanted her story to feature a bit of everything she wanted to insert in her story because there is love an aspect of its own ,details about information and technology and the true intention of the plot of the story . I also attribute it to the fact , Dorothy must of a good knowledge about such wars hence needless to flood her story with terminologies and details about such as it is no new phenomenon for people born and raised in era of enhanced computing.

The book made it sound easy but I don't think that it's as easy as it sounded.

Sometimes it is presented in such a manner so as to create suspense. You need to keep digging so as to get the unveiled facts. However, too much of everything is poisonous and so is to suspense.

I did find the cyberwar too easy. I kept waiting for that single moment that their tricks wil be soon discovered and the mystery/suspense behind it. Unfortunately, that moment never came. Maybe I expected too much but truth is, issues on cyberwar were not developed as expected.
Books are beautiful.
