Why was Sky not informed about the miscarriage

Post by Sophia Damilola Ajayi »

It was a little weird that Cynthia never got to tell Sky about their miscarriage. I think he deserved to know because he was the father and he was always a gentle man to her.

Lolz I very much agree with you. The author would be in the best position to answer this question. I had this concern while I read through that section.

This is correct. I wonder why the author left this out.

Isn't it strange? This is relatable to real life because some people can't bear the shame right now, but I believe he should still be aware of it.

I don't know why the author did this. It was poor writing on her part.

I really wanted to see Sky's reaction when informed of the pregnancy. But our wonderful Cynthia was so annoying, she didnt even bother to tell him. That was a loophole if you ask me. He deserved to know.

I wondered how sky would have reacted to the news. But I don't see any reason that made Cynthia not tell sky about the miscarriage. I wondered why the author did not mention it.

I'm almost done reading the novel, and I sincerely can't come up with an explanation for why Cynthia never told Sky about the miscarriage. This is a part I'm yet to figure out. Where is Dorothy May Mercer?

Honestly, I found it weird that there was no explanation for it's omission. If there was an explanation that Cynthia felt it was a private matter concerning only herself, I'd be fine with that. It's her body and a traumatic experience for some people who experience it. However, it is never established that she feels this way. And since we know her thoughts, this is weird to be absent.

This should be a question for the author. However, it was one of those things I considered off about this book.

Honestly I find it very strange and unreasonable for sky not to be informed about the miscarriage because he really deserved to know.

I find it quite strange that Sky was not informed about the miscarriage, especially because I don't exactly see how hiding that from him improved the story.
