I agree. The persevereance and challenges went hand in hand for the author. For every new challenge he overcame or persevered through, a new one sprung up to take its place, but he always kept going.

I find the author to be very inspiring. His struggles and show of strength would be a great example for young people.

As a young man, he faced alot of things from taking care of his sister, going to the market for the family and doing chores, having to suffer the accusations his aunt placed on him, and all the while he had to complete his school assignments and manage to be the best student not only in his school but the entire country as well. That is the very definition of Inspiring.

It's even more so when you consider that he continued this into adulthood.

Yes the author is so inspiring given the fact that he faces several obstacles but still manages to carry on and achieve his final goal .

There were moments of hopelessness and doubt, but he costed right through them and showed great focus and resilience. Looking at his entire journey, it is had not to feel inspired. Like whatever I might be facing now pales in comparison and that it will ultimately test my resolve, patience, and faith.

I think what makes him ultimately inspiring is the level of hardships he had to face in his life since childhood-in his education and in his home. They seemed to be too large for any one person let alone a child, but he persevered through it all. He was always willing to do more to achieve his goals....from waking up hours early to study to the meticulous planning in his work.

It is, which makes it unintentionally funny that he slacked off those first few weeks of college. However, he paid his dues in numerous ways and went on to give back not only to his fellow students but to the people he would come to work with and serve.

Even his unique ways of showing hard work exhibits elements of humour.

Most of all, I admire his courage and will to share this story with others who may be inspired by his words. It takes a large amount of courage to share one's entire life story, and I am deeply impressed by his doing so.
Even when he was not recognised for his stellar performance, he kept working hard and it was upon the bias teacher to finally recognise him.

Discrimination was one of the largest huddles he faced, and to see his determination in the face of that was truly inspiring.

He struggles with things young people can somewhat relate to like too much responsibility, taking care of his sister, going to the market, doing chores and all the while squeezing enough room in his day to not only finish his school assignments but to also read ahead to get an edge in his studies. That makes him not only inspiring, but relatable too.

Could you tell me what obstacle he faced brought out an inspiring reaction from him?

I find it inspiring how the obstacles he faces in Guyana morphed into new ones when he got to America, and how he kept all that he'd learnt as a child and the resilience of it to get him through those new obstacles.
