I haven't fully read this book, but I do love when racial issues are addressed.

This book conjures up the debatable subject of extreme racism and the prejudice people face even in modern times.

The fact that we live in a time where we are free to express how we feel about things that were considered taboo a mere 100 years ago feels like something we can celebrate. We have come a long way in the fight against racism and discrimination, but we also still have a long winding road ahead of us.

I think, the book might have 2 different impacts to anyone who reads it.Jt might might really inspire someone to continue pursue education and it can also demoralize that weak student since its giving an impression that the only way yo succes is A’s

It is often difficult experience for anyone who faces racial discrimination within a learning institution. In the book, the author documents how to adequately deal with and overcome the issue. Racial discrimination is one of the challenges that lots of people grapple with in various learning centers; therefore I believe that this is one book that all should get to read so as to gain a different perceptive to the matter.

I definitely respect someone who rises from challenges and chooses to see them as opportunities for growth and to inspire others.

Ordinarily I would not have picked this book as I feel that it ia a highly cliche’d idea. However, most of you seem to have enjoyed so I might as well give it a chance.

I'm glad he was able to overcome racial discrimination, especially since some are unable to fully do so. But I am getting tired of hearing about poverty since it is so common. I do think i would enjoy reading it though.

What is your overall opinion of the book? What do you like most about it? What do you like least? Will you recommend the book to other people? Why or why not?

Please remember to add your actual rating using the book's page on: Bookshelves.

My overall opinion is that the man led an amazing life. He also must have superior intelligence to master the education and business world as he did. I liked his guts and tenacity. I did not like that he did not attribute anything to his wife and children who must have supported all he did. I would recommend it to others with the proviso that they take his 'me-ism' with a grain of salt and the fact that the ebook had terrible formatting. 3 out of 4 stars.
