Well, why would he put something he claims is dangerous there. It is almost like he was purposefully tempting them both and eve gave in.ernest kafuna wrote: ↑02 Aug 2019, 13:06 The story of Adam and Eve shows Gods great love when God sends them out of the garden of Eden in order to prevent Adam and Eve from eating any fruit from the tree of life. These really shows Gods love for his creation

There are several loose ends and cliff hangers about these stories.Ekta Swarnkar wrote: ↑02 Aug 2019, 21:04 The story of Adam and Eve is shown as God's love, although I wonder he was always trying to teach lessons (if really he doesn't wanted Adam and Eve to have the fruit of Knowledge then why he planted it in the garden that is created by him) there were other instances also.

I second the motion. Cain is a horrible brother, a disrespectful son of God and a murderer. Yet, God still chose to protect him. That is what I called love.Jsovermyer wrote: ↑02 Aug 2019, 05:57 I think most of the stories show God's wrath. Why did he put the Tree of Good and Evil in the Garden in the first place? Just to be a temptation? Why did he require a blood sacrifice in the Cain and Abel story? Also the big Angry God story is the Flood. He killed everything on the earth that wasn't on the ark.

I agree with all the points you make. That's why I tend to shy away from the Old Testament and focus on the New Testament. The angry and punishing God depicted is hard to relate to and I often don't understand why He acts the way He does.Jsovermyer wrote: ↑02 Aug 2019, 05:57 I think most of the stories show God's wrath. Is this really a depiction of His love, though? He tells Cain to murder Abel. Regardless of the fact that He put a mark on Cain to save his life, He still orchestrated it. How is that love?Adedayo+23 wrote: ↑02 Aug 2019, 10:30I'm with you on this as well.
