Yes it sounded like Emmy would be joining in on the adventures with her brother too...now that she is able to reveal they are siblings

I thought the ending was weird and ended fast as well. Like you, I also liked how all the loose ends came together. I did have a feeling valerian was not all he had seemed though!RoxieReads wrote: ↑29 Sep 2019, 17:24 Overall, the ending just felt too abrupt and sudden to me, the climax was just too quick. However, I did like how everything was resolved so neatly and with the possibility for a second book. I was also surprised by the killer, but with that they had more development.

I liked how all the loose ends were tied, but I thought the climactic end with the false king was rushedLianaMayhew wrote: ↑29 Sep 2019, 18:09 I liked the ending. It didn't feel too rushed and I felt it was nice and neat with no loose ends.

I agree I always suspected there was more to valerian than was let on. And yes that left a lot of things open for a sequel. The author could take the next book in a few different directionsKikijanika wrote: ↑29 Sep 2019, 18:15 I was not really surprised by the killer. I always thought there was something shady about him. The ending was ok. I liked how we were not told if things actually changed in Echoland.

I think a twisted plot at the end of a story makes such interesting.gali wrote: ↑31 Aug 2019, 23:03 What did you think about the ending? Did you feel that the resolution came too quickly? I thought it was ok and liked that the author tied all loose ends while leaving room to a sequel.
Did you like the plot twist at the end? Were you surprised by the killer's identity? I was!
It kind of add to the supence of a story.
Like old adage goes, "the best is always at the end"
Thank you for the question.

The twist added more of a shock value rather than suspense in my opinion!Mr Benji wrote: ↑30 Sep 2019, 06:19I think a twisted plot at the end of a story makes such interesting.gali wrote: ↑31 Aug 2019, 23:03 What did you think about the ending? There were other reasons I didnt rate it 4 stars. I thought it was a decent story but not worthy of a perfect ratingMellaBella wrote: ↑30 Sep 2019, 13:39 I do think it was kind of rushed, but not to where I wouldn't rate it 4 stars. I just think it would have been more of a jaw dropper if Fortuna showed up after hearing Valerian admitted what he did. I was thinking it would take that route, instead of him just being killed. I think he deserved much worse, maybe even eternity in shadow pain.
