I think they were believable. I liked will the best and thought he conducted himself well. I also liked Peter. He was a great sidekick. I disliked Victor Valerian because of his conduct.
I liked Valerie Valerian for her adventure, Peter for his friendship, and Wolfea. I especially disliked the False King and Victor Valorian for being exceptionally brilliant at planning but hopelessly reckless afterwards.

I originally disliked pellucid because she seemed like a crotchety old bat, but she ended up being a sort of silent cheerleader in the background

I intially disliked Pellucid and that opinion has only changed a little bit.

Brainy would shut up about the Prince's Sound and I wanted to choke him Homer-style.

I liked the librarians though! The way they fussed over keeping their library just - so was adorable. It could really picture them! Like when Poudini was chewing on a stick in the library and the one librarian almost has a heart attack over a dog chewing a stick on the floor (not that there is a dog in the library in the first place lol)

I think all librarians have the same reaction to disrupting their order of the library....try stacking books recklessly on your table and you get the stink eye till you leave.

I found no use for Cyrano. Why did he have any substance at all. Cyrano de Bergerac was a character in a play, not a real person.

Peter Patrick Peterson completely lived up to his fun, alliterated name!

He was I think a troll hiding in a sounds body. Despite that, he did help Will escape from fate sealers at one point when he hid them in his underground lair.

I thought they were fun too! Victor valerian, valerie valerian, Peter Patrick Peterson, and Poudini Peterson ;) made them a bit more memorable

I like how the author ensured even a seemingly vague character could have an effect in Will's journey.

The pllay of names was fun to read through from the Valorians to tripple P and Poudini (who was Peters Houdini).

If he had created unique characteristics for those with such names it would have been something unique.
