I found it creepy and the imagery stays with you for a while. I think I prefer doing the imagination for myself.

The echoing voice gives the haunting feeling that something mysterious and dangerous is afoot. It is a little creepy, but maybe it’s meant to give the watcher chills since Echoland is a world frozen beneath the ice.

A trailer is actually very helpful for a reader to understand some basic story or event of book. The illusion used in trailer was very much like that in the story. Yes the voice was a little creepy but it was helpful.

Like it was stated in the trailer "as surely as lightning will lead to thunder" that narrator's voice will haunt my dreams. Haha, no but in all seriousness, the voice to me had a very A.I. sort of quality to it, like many of the futuristic avatars we so often hear as characters in mainstream motion pictures. The summary and illustrations effectively held my attention though!

The trailer made me a little uncomfortable, but at the same time made me want to read this book.

KCWolf wrote: 02 Oct 2019, 14:54 I actually really like this trailer. It's well-done, and the images from the book help to entice readers to read this great story. The voice is a little chilling (as others have said) but I feel that it helps to add mystery to the trailer.

If I hadn't already read the book...I would definitely want to read it now, after watching this trailer.
I agree and really like this trailer as well. I have seen the book multiple times, but haven't pulled the trigger on reading it yet. I may now, due to this trailer.

I agree that the voice was a bit chilling, but it goes well with the book and really kept my attention on watching the trailer.

Honestly, I really liked the visuals of the Youtube trailer, and it was fairly well-written. However, I think the trailer would have been way more engaging if the narrator didn't say everything in the same tone; what she's saying is interesting, but the tone she says it in seems really monotonous.

I find the trailer a good and interesting incentive for readers to opt for this book!

It is an average one. Now a days, video trailers are becoming a powerful weapon to convert a "viewer" to a "reader". I think more than one trailers should be created.

I did not use the audible version. After reading the book, I had no desire to hear it out loud.

I love the trailer. It's eerie, it's scary and it's short. The narrator knows just knows the tone and at the right time. I gave it a like. Plus, she gives the general contents of the book. What's there not to love?

I have yet to read the book, but I do agree the trailer makes it sound very Harry Potter-esque. Not that that's a bad thing if that's what the author was going for.

My opinion might be a bit unpopular but, aahh I didn't like the way the trailer was put together very much. I like the script, the narrator is good. Background is quite enough to add the intended feeling of creepy fantasy without disturbing the narration.
But the narration could've been more suspenseful with the right pauses along with matching the images in the video as the come on.
Still, it's not bad and I'm sure the target audience would find it quite intriguing.
