One of the things I absolutely loved about this book was the Echo language the characters sometimes use. Although there are only a few phrases such as "Crystal my ears!", "Fortunerifically lucky!", or "For Fortune's grace/favor!", they add a lot of savory and humor to the story. Did you like the author's invention of Echo-speech? Do you think she could add more words and phrases in a sequel?

I loved those phrases! They added spice to the tale.

I do think she add more words and phrases in a sequel. I also liked the pans she used.

I also found that terms to be endearing, since the Echoland society was drastically different in customs from our own. However, if there is a sequel, I'm guessing that the Prince will be King and have made some drastic changes. If his plan works, he'll strip the Fortune Tellers of their power, so the lingo may change a lot. Interesting point you've made - guess we will have to wait and see.

The language of the people in Echoland shows how creative the author is in world building. I thought it added a lot to the story and made it more entertaining. And hey, if she wants to add more in a later book, I am all for it.

I thought they were cute and fit perfectly. I can't imagine the characters saying anything different. Maybe she could add more in a sequel, but I liked the few in this book.

I enjoyed the Echo language and the names of the characters as well. It was very clever.

These little imaginative are really what sets a book apart from others. These clever and imaginative use of words now and then really makes the story relatable and makes us readers feel that we ourselves are in that world. Kudos to the author!

I loved the creativity in the phrases of Echoland the author has used.
Looking forward for a follow-up.

Same here. But the thing I would love is if the other characters gain more limelight. Like, I would love if we see any quests by any of the side characters.

As a fantasy author, it's hard to still be original considering the avalanche of books belonging to this genre. However, the author manages to somehow do that while being inspired by different texts from medieval legends to Harry Potter. That's why it was refreshing to notice she carefully thought of various details, including these Echo words and phrases that round up nicely the overall world building.

I loved the Echo language! It enhanced the story. Hopefully, if there is a sequel there will be even more of the language in it.

I have always loved when authors incorporate original phrases into their work. It makes the story much more realistic. It is a completely different world, which is bound to have different idioms.

I enjoyed Echoland's unique words. I liked the way Pellucid played with words. I could see this book being included in a lesson plan/unit with a focus on having fun with words.
