What was the funniest scene in the book?

I really enjoyed the bits of humor sprinkled throughout the novel. My favorite scene was probably when Will and Peter were discussing their terrible prospects of reaching Olàm Shonè since they didn't know how to deal with the safety measures. Dry humor always makes me chuckle.
“At least Auralius survives.”

“Yes.” Peter adjusted his sunglasses. “He can wait for the spiders to come and eat him.”

When Emmy is distracting the librarians and uses books from the invisibility section to create sofas and they cant seem to find the missing books

I loved Peter’s reaction to opening Illyria’s treasure chest and his horrified disappointment with what was inside. 😂 Peter is such a great character.

It's been a while but anything with Emmy or Poudini usually earned a hearty chuckle and a smile from me.

Like when Emmy makes a sofa out of the invisible books in the library lol

Yes! Poudini was a great addition to the story for some comic relief!

One of my favorite scenes was when everyone at the orphanage thought Will might be the prince’s sound and Emmy’s twin. I laughed when Emmy stood up and gave her speech and challenged anyone to say she looked like Will in his puffy faced-disguise. I wish Emmy would have had a bigger role in the story.

Same here! I loved Emmy so much! I really wished she would have been more present...or Pudini. Any scene with Poudini was worth reading in my eyes!

I enjoyed the book's specific brand of humour and the scene that highlighted his for me most was when Will was accused of being the Prince's echo and Emmy came to the rescue. She took offence that claiming Will was the Prince's echo while he still looked completely ugly was a sure insult to her beauty. I found this extremely funny.

Another scene that made me chuckle was when Will mentioned his birthday was coming up soon to Tear, his response was that it was his bday too. In fact he celebrated his bday every day (because he didnt know when it was and didnt want to miss it lol) that's my kind of logic!

I think bday stipulates presents and I am not buying anyone presents everyday....but I would definitely love to celebrate my bday everyday too.
