To me, Zack's most likable and admirable trait was his faithfulness/loyalty to his wife, Tally. Even in the face of peer pressure, when some of his colleague deck apes decided to go out and cheat on their spouses back at home, Zack stayed true to the love of his life.
The gift turned out to be a curse. They killed him with kindness.

In Zacharia Martin I found a pure demonstration of love, bravery, selflessness, and camaraderie. The fact that he fought and conquered the major antagonist in the story makes him my favourite character by a mile.
