Did this book touch you in a way that it did mine?

I had just come out of grief over losing a close one to 4th stage cancer and saw the active and lively person die a slow death. The most difficult part of the book was when Zack and Tally were married, and when Zack got the diagnosis, I welt through the pain all over again. Watching as a helpless bystander was the most painful thing to bear. I felt that the government could have done a lot more for the war veterans. The anger and frustration and all the emotions that this book made me feel were commendable, and the story of their love till the end was really touching.
