I actually really agree with you that this book doesn't exactly fit into the romance genre

Lolz.. Exactly my thought. I felt the author chose to write this way to help keep readers imaginations active.

This is definitely a mild romance book considering the lack of connection between Tom and Kelly in there marriage. Nevertheless i love the bond and relationship between Steve and Sharon.
