I think Sharon and Steve would have made quite the pair if they'd been given more time to develop. A fun relationship really lasts long when it starts that way and then develops into stability.

I believe that Steve and Sharon will be the next to be on a honeymoon and Agatha will be one more involved by meeting someone that she falls in love with. Good or bad and the others will be called to help her. Or the next book will about Kelly and Tom redoing their honeymoon and Agatha stayed to have a vacation and meets another man in the CIA.

I am much more interested in antagonist of this book. The redemption and underdog plotline does sounds more appealing to me. But even my imagination can't save lack of romance in this book and I except it.
I feel exactly the same way too! I wasn't looking out for romantic pairings while reading this book.

Steve/Sharon definitely had something sweet but Steve/Soojin had real intense chemistry.

Honestly the romantic subplot just felt quite out of place since the majority of the novel didn't deal with romance at all. Steve and Sharon felt like a very cliched storyline, which cheesy dialogue and uncomfortable moments eg. Steve touching her body without consent several times, which seemed to just be swept under the rug because we as readers know that Sharon is crushing on him too

The romance in this book seemed superficial and not something I particularly care about, but if I had to choose one, I would have liked it if Su-jin was given a redemption arc and she'd end up helping Steve after falling in love with him. At least that's what it seemed like in the beginning.

Do any of these, such as a Soojin/Steve pairing or a Sharon/Steve pairing feel like they'd be a good, solid fit for the future? For myself, I felt Sharon and Steve had mild chemistry, but it was more the fling and fun sort of thing. With Soojin, I feel like there's another full story, there. A redemption mixed in with romance that transcends the programming that'd weighed down Soojin most of her life.
I would have enjoyed the Steve/Sharon pairing. I wish it had been given time to develop. I'm not sure I would have bought a redemption romance with Soojin unless she had more page time. I feel like we never got to really know her as a person.
Exactly my thoughts. I really anticipated more.

I liked the love stories of Soujin and Stave, and think they will make an interesting pair.

I would have to go for Steve and Sharon I loved the banter between them. I believe that would set the ground for good fun and honest relationship.

Actually, the whole romance aspect of the story was my least favorite part (but it’s that way with any book). I felt like it was extraneous to the story. In my opinion, it only provided fodder for another book.

When reading this novel, I thought the author had plans for steve and So-jun, because I saw a lot of stories embedded in the relationship between the both of them.
