It is set in winter and actually takes place over Christmas.
I've been trying to find a copy of this for some time (I keep losing my copies!). It's always a toss up because I have to have a copy with specific illustrations, but I finally got one!
What is grief, if not love persevering?
Grief is just love with no place to go.
