The bible passages seemed a bit out of context to me, particularly given that the book wasn't at all religious. They didn't get in the way of my enjoyment of the book, but they seemed out of place.

The bible scripture seemed a little out of place to me because none of the characters seemed religious

I enjoyed both, so there is nothing wrong with it.

I did not really think about it while reading, to be honest, and it did not add or reduce the quality of the book for me.

Wow. Good point. I think they are needless actually. The famous quotes are enough. But perhaps they are to give the story some religious undertone. For instance, the protagonist inner struggle can be attached to some religious themes.

The Bible chapter at the beginning of every chapter in a few words describes the content of the chapter or the major subject of relevance in it.

I felt they were quite out of place seeing as the book had no other religious themes and undertones. A rather questionable choice if you ask me.

The quote added made this book more valuable and I love it so much.

I felt that the inclusion of verses from the Bible kept in touch with the author's exploration of what it meant to be a man. The quotes and the Bible verses added an additional layer of meaning to the book and quite simply made me think a little more.

I perceived it to be a nice addition to the book- a bold one at that.

I concur that the passages and scriptures were pertinent and provided a preview of the mission, but it might not go well for the secular reader
