The author handled it well and I was not off-put by it in any way.

I personally felt that the mode of writing worked well for the book. The writing ensured that there was a constant level of curiosity through each chapter and I was eager to know what happened next on either side.

I really liked it. I feel that by having that context behind the characters and the situations, it made me connect with each character more and overall it helps give understanding to how they all grew as people. It also made me understand what was going through their minds during each mission which explained a lot of their actions.

I enjoyed the switching as it gave me an insight into what had previously happened. The author did a great work of not confusing the reader.

I think it show how skillful and talented the author is. It takes a good writer to switch from present to past without getting the readers bored.

I learned that we can't serve two masters. I think the root cause of the negative effects on the characters marriage and relationship is the fact that they weren't able to balance their devotion towards their love for adventure and married life. Staying away from your family can have a negative impact

I initially had a problem with the transition from the present to the future but quickly got used to it. I was almost discouraged but am happy i did not quit reading the book. It finally helped me understand their past life and i tried to link it to the present. Having such context helped me understand their current state in the story and why they do what they did.

I loved this book, it’s the first time in a while I’ve had that nice feeling you get when you finish something worthwhile. I think the switching between the different perspectives was done really well. Sometimes when books do this I find I only want to read one perspective because the other one becomes boring but this kept me interested the whole way through!

For me, the flashback made the book more interesting. And I must commend the author on that, he did an amazing job with the flashbacks.
