My favorite Man Mission was MMVI when they ventured to Fiji. The ritual of winding down over Kava sounded super cool to me. I found it funny that these professional men weren't more cautious and kept drinking before allowing the effects to take hold.

The most memorable mission for me was the japan trip when the author broke down after receiving the bad news from home. And the lady who offered herself to the protagonist that was hilarious.

When the author described the eyes surrounding them, wolves came to my mind. I was amused when I realized the terror was caused by mere cows. The author's style of narration of the scene made it more hilarious.
I was planning on reading the book later but your incident has made me more curious to read the book early. I like when the author adds humor along with the story.
Me too. I was just scanning through here before starting the book and now I'm legit excited to get into it.

For me it was the one in South Africa because they saw lions in the wild and in the parts about the narrator's everyday life he went to the zoo with his family, where he saw the lions in the cage. Those are the perfect metaphors for the two parts of his life.

I lived vicariously through these guys as I have a lot of health problems and would never be able to do the things they did. Walking half a mile is challenging for me, not to mention very slow. I'm not sure which was my favorite although I did find the cow incident the most amusing. I have always wanted to see the Northern Lights, but I would not want to eat puffin burgers.

I loved their kayak journey to the remote island in Fiji. I imagined I would enjoy kayaking the open ocean, but have my second thoughts after reading how demanding the trip was.

I also liked the reminder that there were a people who still live a primitive tribal lifestyle.

All the missions we're amazing and am spoilt for choices. The kayaking, cycling, hiking I can't even name all the activities. The humour, emotions, and the bonds are just epic. But for me I think the Inca trail in Peru was my favorite. Apart from the trekking they meet Marco and part ways with the most amazing life lessons.

Another man mission I came to appreciate was their kayak journey to the remote island in Fiji. Taking to the open sea for an adventure on a Kayak seems too wild yet promising.

I chuckled about their dilemma with the bicycles at the airport and on the train during their cycling expedition from Tokyo to Niigata. I enjoyed his description of the reaction to his fluorescent yellow biking shorts!! The description of the security guard's reaction to his pretending to stab Sam with the screwdriver was also well written.

I loved the cycling in Japan. Particularly the hot tub scenes. I also enjoyed the description of getting his (way too expensive to break) bike peddle fixed.

My favourite man mission was the one to Japan. I think it really wasn't about the mission but about meeting Mr Takeda. I thought that the advice he gave them was something that could have helped the main protagonist had it been taken seriously at the time.

I like their first man misson in New Zealand. It was very interesting that main protagonist was rescued by drug dealers.

Some "rescue," huh? LOL But what a great attention-grabbing opener!
