Unfortunately, I haven't visited any of the places in this book, but I would absolutely love to visit Peru and Fiji. The kava ceremonies seem really exotic and different.

I haven't been to any of the locations listed in the book yet, but hopefully our planned trip to Indonesia with my couple might change that! We can also contrast our experience with the book's after we've been there.

I have never been to any of the places, but somehow I felt the description of the Japanese train driver to be accurate. Yet I have never been there or to any of these places but I hope that the descriptions are accurate

Unfortunately, I haven’t been to any of these locations mentioned but based on the culture and the reputable values that exists in Japan, it would be my preferred location if I had the opportunity to go on a trip.

Of all the places, the only one I have been to is Fiji (although I didn't ocean kayak). I found the kava ceremonies to be pretty accurate, it's basically the after-work pastime in Fiji to sit around and share kava, even in the big towns. If you are there, you will absolutely be invited to partake. Although, I never drank enough to get as high as the characters.

I've only been to Andaluzia (Spain). If you take into account dreams, I've been everywhere...
To read or not to read? That's not even a question!

Personally, I've been to Spain and the east coast of the US. I'd really love to visit Japan someday though. Their culture and food seem so interesting

I have never been to any of the Man Mission sites. However, I intend to visit Japan in future to satisfy my curiosity especially on fish farming in Japan.

I haven't read the book yet, but it's good to know, from comments here, that the descriptions of these places are accurate. It makes me more interested to read it.

Sadly, I've never been to any of these places despite my wanderlust. But you can always travel thousands of miles between the pages of a book, right? :techie-studyinggray:
The book to read is not the one that thinks for you, but the one which makes you think.

I have never been to any of the Man missions locations,BUT the descriptive way the author brought them to life makes me feel like I have!

I wouldn't expect anything less from a travel blogger anyways.
