Yeah, it makes me think of a few x-men characters, like Spyke who shoots spikes in a porcupine fashion and another x-man had something like x-ray vision from the chest... It's stuff that may pass as visually appealing if done right, but it's definitely weird to put a lot of thought on it.

I think that teleportation could come in quite handy. I live in a very small town and the nearest city is 50 miles away.

I like Rye's powers the best because teleporting sounds like the best way to get anywhere you wanted. As a resident of Southern California and Los Angeles County where traffic is a normal occurrence, I would never have to worry about being late to work ever again. I also like the Adam's power because even though I am scared of heights, I would love to fly.

Carly's mother had the best mutant power as the human lie detector. Adam's gift of flying was also cool!

Teleportation has always fascinated me. The ability to think of a place and be there within seconds... that would give lunch break a new name.

I think Rye's is the coolest. I definitely would be abusing that power to go places around the world without paying for airfare! :D Also, I think that the Wit power to pass down information by merging is sad. You can become an orphan at an early age, which sucks. Wit is without her dad and mom as a teenager, and she did not want to merge with her mom in that moment. It is really a sad gift. If she could gain that information without the merging, that would be a better power. However, because of the merging, I would not want such a power!

Teleportation is a cool power to have. I can already imagine how much better my life would be if I had such power.

So which of these powers fascinate you the most??
All their abilities are pretty cool and would be cool to have. But fire... I'm having a hard time coming up with any reasons why I'd like to have fire more than the rest. But fire

My favorite was Carly's mother - the human lie detector. And it was cool that Adam could fly.

I see very few appreciations of the illusion power. I think that's pretty cool too and must be quite handy in stealth missions.

Definitely a very cool trick to have up your sleeve.

Rye's power of teleportation. It's fascinating. To be able to go someplace else within moments.. it opens whole new worlds! I can visit the friend I've been missing, go for a walk on the beach at sunset everyday, visit all the wonderful-seeming places described in the book I'm reading now.

If I had powers I would definitely want to teleport and live in different places. You get to see new places, people and events happening, so this an amazing power to me

If I had to pick, it would probably be Rye's or Adams.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!” HST

I think any book with powerful beings is enticing to think about which one would be the most beneficial. However, I think it's an exciting opportunity to explore metaphors or symbolism in our own life.
