I hated the fact that Adam was so troubled at the beginning. Eventually, I realized that the author was trying to redeem his character throughout the story.

I wished the author could have made me fall in love with Adam. The characters have bad sides but you grow attached to them in spite of it. I think Adam would have been a perfect fit for that.

In the beginning of the story I too felt that Adam was different from all the other YA protagonists as he had a shady character. But i couldnt actually understand his character as to why he did that to Terry who he says he liked.
