I definitely thought of Twilight when reading this book, and also I thought of the City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments) series as well. The teen angst and young love mixed in with people with supernatural abilities really seemed to bring about some comparisons with the other books mentioned.

I definitely saw some of the Twilight DNA in the book, but I think it may have pulled a bit more from 50 Shades given Adam's poor treatment of Carly, Adam's obsession with his mother, and virtually everything related to the den.

Yes, there is a high correlation between the two.
