An adult version of Twilight?

I thought I might have been the only one that picked that up!

In Twilight, the Cullens and others emphasized that it made sense why Edward wasn't able to read Bella's thoughts, and eventually, her ability to cloak others from the vampire's abilities became a useful element in battle. With Adam, there were similarities. Having the ability to cloak his core from the detection of other Descendants before even realizing his power, and being able to cloak the other Descendants with his ability later on in the book during battle.
There were other similarities but this is what stood out most to me. They had a very similar type of power dynamic.

Yes, exactly my thoughts as well!venxsfi wrote: ↑04 Apr 2020, 14:47 It is amazing that you mention this because while reading, I had similar thoughts. Especially when Adam seemed to have a cloak/shield type of power like Bella did when she turned into a vampire.

I agree! I think the author took all the best parts of the Twilight series and that's why it made such an excellent read.Thehorselover wrote: ↑04 Apr 2020, 20:01 Yes! That was my first thought! I was scared it was going to be just a spin off and not very interesting because I have already read the twilight books- but I think the author managed to turn it in the middle and towards the end so it didn’t read exactly like the Twilight series.

If you loved the Twilight saga, you will definitely enjoy this book!Jbcitygirl wrote: ↑05 Apr 2020, 03:59 I wasn’t sold on this book, but this thread is making me rethink it. I loved the Twilight Saga, and is this similar, I will definitely enjoy this too.
