Oh yes, I haven't thought of it like that!
I am a reader, not because I don't have a life, but because I choose to have many.

Oh that's right! I loved the Sky High movie. I totally agree wrt power demonstration.vagrimes wrote: ↑03 May 2020, 08:42 I definitely agree. Additionally, the concept of "synching" with another Descendent to me seemed very similar to the way werewolves imprint in Twilight. The book reminded me of a hybrid between Twilight and the 2005 movie Sky High about teen superheroes. The scene where the teen Descendents showed off their powers reminded me of when the kids got to Sky High for the first time and demonstrated their powers to the coach.

They sure do! But to be honest, the twilight romance did not make me cringe as much.

Have you just read Twilight or is this based on what you remember from reading it years ago? I loved the book when I was younger but when I read it again when I was a bit older, it wasn't as amazing as I had previously thought. But yes, I agree that Opaque wasn't amazing either.Barbie_sidhu wrote: ↑23 May 2020, 07:37 The book was no where equal to or like twilight. Twilight is just amazing and i did not find that amazing vibe in this book.

Yes, you are right! I completely agree with you. I was afraid of the same thing but I was glad it turned out to be different.Thehorselover wrote: ↑04 Apr 2020, 20:01 Yes! That was my first thought! I was scared it was going to be just a spin off and not very interesting because I have already read the twilight books- but I think the author managed to turn it in the middle and towards the end so it didn’t read exactly like the Twilight series.
