Adam the lead male character is sexually attracted to his mother which is resolved by him switching that obsession to another, when he meets a girl his age he falls in love.
That's my Dislike scene in this Novel. What is yours ?

Yeah, I didn't like that part of the book either.

I think this is explained away as her not being his mother, so it kind of significantly reduces the ick factor, though of course, he doesn't know it the entire time he's sexually attracted to her, so I understand the revulsion.

Same, I disliked that too. When I found that she was his stepmother, it didn't reduce it because she is still his mother.
Also, I didn't like the toxic behaviour of Adam towards Carly.

I found that weird about the book too, however in a way it got explained in the end. What i most disliked was that there was no repercussions for Adam with what he did to Terry, even when Carly found out she didn't seem to care much about it.

Most of what I disliked had to do with the writing style. The passage of time seemed hard to understand at times. Also, many times it was not clear who was speaking during a moment of dialogue. Lastly, the Russian language with no translations seemed unhelpful. The only part of the story I didn't like was not finding out the gift that Adam gave Carly in the end. Hopefully, we find out in the next book?

Yeah was not a fan of the fact that he was attracted to his mother. I also do not think is resolved as properly as it should have been.

I really disliked the use of Russian in the novel. It got me lost every now and then. I also disliked the fact that Adam was attracted to his step mother

Honestly, I disliked everything about Adam and I would've put the book down after the first chapter if I wasn't reading it for a review. I don't think his character development was well written either as he still did some things that wouldn't fly in a healthy relationship late into the book after the book tells us that he's changed.

I completely agree with you. I absolutely didn’t like how Adam was sexually attracted to his mother. Though I liked his character, this one thing about him seems sick!

I disliked the plot inconsistencies. For example, Adam is impervious to some Descendants’ powers, but he can be teleported or cured. Also, the author uses Mariah and Rye when talking about the same character, which I found a little annoying.

His attraction towards his mother genuinely brought discomfort to me too, including that kidnapping of the store girl scene and all those explicit toys.

I did not like Adam's initial portrayal of a dark personality. He did not like his father and was attracted to his mother. That was unsettling.

The point of Adam being sexually attracted to JoAn was explained in the end so it reduced my awkwardness but the most irritating part wsd none of the Russian dialogues had translations. I had to google translate each time I came across one.

What I disliked the most was the fact that I had to employ other sources to get translations of the Russian dialogues.
