About a book

Post by SamIAm23 »

Has anyone read "The Flame and the Flower" by Kathleen Woodiwiss? If so, what did you think about it?

I noticed that we really dont talk about specific books, I kind of wanted opinions on this one.

Of course we do! In the " Reviews and Discussions about Specific Books and Series". No, I didn't read this one. Just looked it up, it sounds interesting, it has more than 600 pages(Woah) but I have read Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince which is 800+ pages.

I think they're great! I read half of them. And I'm only 12, sometimes I don't sound 12. Maybe you could ask Scott(The creator of the site) to make that genre. Well it's 9:30 p.m better get to bed. Cya Laters.

Why don't you post a review & see if you get a reaction or it might encourage others to check them out. We have lots of discussion of specific books & there is also the Book of the Month ... but there are millions of books out there. I for one am always open to trying a new author if someone convinces me they are worth my time. So get posting :)

I have read all the Harry Potter books. I really enjoyed this series I was one of those who went to the nidnight releases to get the latest book.

So much better than the movies. Although the last one to me was a bit of a let down. I felt like the author had lost her way in the first half of the book and once she got back on track she tried to cram to much into the last half. I think like the movies she really needed to write one more book. I was also disappointed as to the way it ended. Again I think the extra book would have given the author time to let us know what happened to the characters. But then I hate it when I am at the end of a good series.

I too have read all the Harry Potters and they are all a bit better then the movies. When it comes to reading books that have been movies, and if you have already watched and liked the films - read the book. Book length to me is no big deal, it just depends on the writer. The Count of Monte Cristo is my favorite book and one summer I bought and read the unabridged addition - 1243 pages about.
