Pigeon English by Stephen Kelman

This book was hilarious and sad at same time. After reading the book I felt barren yet utterly moved. I'm not sure what happened to Harri at the end, I think he was "chooked". Anyone read this book?

Haven't read it yet but it's on the list ... must go buy some books next week, haven't bought anything since Xmas so I'm in serious need of an hour or two in a bookshop & I have some Xmas vouchers to spend, spend, spend

my mistake, this should've been started in the Fiction section! My mistake...(why did I think "non-fiction" was fiction?)

Yes, the book is "playful" but takes you through a confound intellectual spiral, it brings out the pensive side of a person. Also, at the end of the novel there is a readers' discussion section where there are several questions. For example, what is the meaning of the pigeon?

I borrow my books from the library. I rarely buy them. The library is free!
