Review of Closure
"Closure" by Robert Lovelle Rooks is a compelling narrative that unfolds the story of Daniella, an independent and resilient woman whose heart undergoes the pains of heartbreak from three different men, sparking her quest for closure. The narrative spans various cities and countries, chronicling Daniella's journey as a successful entrepreneur who, despite hailing from an affluent background, strives to carve her path without relying on her wealthy parents. From establishing her first outlet in Atlanta to transforming her business into a global brand with branches in three other cities, Daniella's tale is one of triumph, commitment, and loyalty. However, even amidst her success, she faces the anguish of heartbreak due to the actions of certain men, propelling her on a quest for answers and closure. For readers seeking a story rich in intrigue, love, romance, betrayal, and the resilient pursuit of closure, "Closure" proves to be an essential read.
I was genuinely captivated by the author's writing style, which seamlessly blends humor, authenticity, and a genuine portrayal of real-life experiences. The author adeptly adopts a woman's perspective, showcasing a remarkable ability to narrate a compelling story. It is not your usual romantic tale of a girl falling in love with a boy, overcoming all the obstacles, and living happily ever after. It's a story that describes the reality of the world today. Achieving success, wealth, and beauty doesn't guarantee a happy love life. It describes the story of many women who, through no fault of their own, have to go through heartbreak because of the thoughtless actions of some men. The author also captures the racial tension going on and how it affected Daniella's relationship with Amos, as well as the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on businesses and individuals. It was truly an interesting read.
Daniella is my favorite character in the book, and I was truly captivated by her bravery and how she picked herself up after the heartbreaks; she didn't allow that to keep her down, despite all the losses she suffered. Her independence and desire to succeed were commendable. She decided she wouldn't just depend on her parents' wealth to survive; she had a passion as a nutritionist and decided to pursue her passion. Many can relate to Daniella's need for closure. The author makes it real and does not hide behind a fantasy of what romance is. The author writes in such a way that the reader can feel the emotions of the characters—the pain that Daniella had to go through, the friendships she formed along the way—and we also get to enjoy seeing her excel in the business world and build a global empire.
The book is professionally edited. The well-developed characters are relatable, and the author's top-notch writing style adds to the overall appeal. The intriguing tale promises to keep readers on the edge of their seats.
There is nothing I disliked about the book. I award this book a solid 5 out of 5 stars for its unique narrative. It takes an unexpected turn in the romance genre, providing readers with something refreshing and engaging. I highly recommend it to fiction lovers and those who appreciate the importance of closure in relationships.
