Sometimes, the greatest change comes from the most unexpected things. Kristin was struggling with different things. She was experiencing persistent lower back and hip pain, which seemed to have no solution, and an exhausting job, which had become even more exhausting with the pain she was experiencing. She was also finding it hard to fully commit herself to relationships. While she had a caring sister and mother, she sometimes found that they were a bit too persuasive. There was not a lot to be grateful about in Kristin's life. One day, on her friend's suggestion and persuasion from her family, Kristin decides to try yoga.

"The Accidental Yogini" by Tracey L. Ulshafer is filled with positive aspects. One must appreciate the title of the book and how it accurately describes the book. The omniscient point of view was used in writing the book. I loved this, as it enabled me to have a glimpse into the other characters, especially as they affected Kristin's life. This ensured that the book was not just focused on the life of Kristin. We get to see almost all the characters develop over the course of the book.

The book covers a lot of aspects. The importance of having the right support systems was emphasized in the book. We could see the role Kristin's family and friends played in steering her towards a new trajectory. There was a lot to learn from the book. I am presently following the steps to creating a new habit that I found while reading the book, and I have personally experienced what having a mantra can do for a person. I loved the quotes that the author included at the beginning of every chapter, too.

This book did not have any negative aspects. It was professionally edited. It is a long read, but a fulfilling one. I was glued to the book, and I loved how the author taught about yoga while making the book easy to understand. For these reasons, I rate this book five out of five stars. I recommend this book to individuals seeking healing, whether of the body or the mind. There is a lot to learn, and I hope every reader gets to experience the transformative nature of the book.
