I love how the women found happiness in the fly fishing trade. They also did well to rescue Melody from Drowning in the Stream. That was amazing. Thanks for sharing and congrats on the hook of the day.

This one seems like a nice book for a free day. I don't know much about free flying and the book seems to have ample information abot that. And the bonding of the ladies seems so beautiful and interesting. Congratulations on BOTD!!

Well done for this review. It is great to see women bonding over a sport while going through different phases of life. The support they give each other and their acceptance makes it more interesting.

This review is quite sincere and has made the book sound interesting to read. I'd like to know how the book influences relationships and friendships. It also gives more details about fly-fishing.

This story is amazing is full of kindness, love, laughter, hope and joy. Through the voice of each characters the story fosters the notion that fly fishing has the potential to pass beyond age, gender, culture and even socio economic barriers and can eventually be the glue that bind us. This story state the power of women friendship, building relationship together, and being cable to live outside their comfort zone. I really love reading this book, the story in it was so powerful and am hoping she will write another one because am curious about the next chapter of the girls lives. I rate this book 4 over 4.

It all starts with an incident, a woman is drowning in the river and gets saved by four fishing woman, after that incident there's is a bond between them, getting them into a closer friendship. I like that it starts introducing each one of the sisters and then their story merges.

Thanks for the detailed review. I like how the story uses fly fishing as more than just a sport; it becomes a way for these women to connect and support each other. The mix of different ages and life challenges makes it feel very real. Also interesting how the “catch and release” idea turns into a meaningful message by the end.

I love first-person narratives, especially when there are multiple characters. Even though it's probably considered chick-lit, I like the concept of bonding friendships, so I'll add this one to my list. I want to know how Melody ended up in the river.

A comprehensive review of an interesting novel that uses a particular sport to bring a group of women together in an isolated spot. It then tends to examine group dynamics and the individual circumstances of each of the women in this relationship to each other and to the group as a whole. I'm just not sure why the reviewer seems to think that this book should be only for women. I think that anyone who reads this could find it fascinating and illuminating.

I really appreciate how you highlighted that the book is about far more than just fly fishing. The way you describe the evolving friendships between the characters—women from such different walks of life—makes me even more curious about the emotional depth of this story. Your mention of the “catch and release” practice turning into a metaphor also intrigued me; it sounds like the author weaves life lessons into even the smallest details. I’ll definitely be adding this to my reading list—it sounds like the kind of story that stays with you long after the last page.

In this book, a bond is formed between a bunch of women, and tightened by their mutual love of the outdoors and fishing. This is an uplifting book, and like the reviewer, I enjoyed it.
