This was an insightful and well-structured review. I liked how you emphasized the transformation of the characters and how fishing was used as both a literal and metaphorical tool. Your mention of personal resonance with the practice of catch and release made the review even more genuine. You’ve definitely convinced me to give this book a try!

The Reel Sisters is a clever name, very fitting for a fly-fishing-themed book for a female audience. It's great to see the plot progress from fly fishing to something deeper: stories, struggles and emotional journeys. I also find it realistic that people get along when enjoying the same sport.
I write the best reviews possible. :idea2:

Nice review! I read this book awhile ago and I loved it. The relationship between these women was something to be admired. They accepted each other no matter what the difference was in their personalities, or how they looked. I will probably read it again someday.

The Reel Sisters follows five women as they grow closer together through their shared love of fly fishing. While the book uses a lot of elements and details about the sport, it touches deeper and more important subjects than fishing. Although I'm not into fishing and don't know much about fly fishing, the book seems interesting, and I'd like to give it a try.

A very nice mix of friendship that is bound by the common interests and fly fishing can be found in the heart touching story book "The Reel Sisters" by Michelle Cummings. Both of them go very well together in this story.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

I've actually been on the fence about volunteering to review this one myself but I wasn't sure if it would be the type of bok I'd remotely be interested in. From the review I gather I might not love it but likely enjoy it anyways. I honestly don't know much about fly fishing but I do love reading about intergenerational bonding!

Congrats on BOTD!
Michelle Cummings's The Reel Sisters Given that the four ladies welcomed a new member into their circle—the woman they dragged from the river half-dead—it appears to be a highly uplifting book that focuses on the ideas of camaraderie and confidence.

David Thoreau's quote in the beginning of the book summarizes what the book is all about. While there is a lot one could learn about flyfishing, this is much more than this. It is a book about friendship that lasts and is built around a shared interest. The fact that Melody was welcomed to the group and became part of it is really interesting as well and inspirational too. Many thanks for the amazing review, @DancingLady.

It seems to be quite an original idea for a book. I didn't think I was interested in fly fishing, but when I read the sample, I did enjoy reading about it. This book is well-written, and the characters and friendships are believable and well-portrayed.

I have never really thought about fishing as a sport but I'm eager to read how it's a sport and how it connected the lives of the five friends into a meaningful friendship. Great review
