Help needed in choosing the perfect book.

Hey everybody!
I am having a hard time trying to find a book my friend would like.
She is 19 and in college and studying politics
Here are some of her fav. books that she has put up on facebook.

The Man who loved Yngve , Angels and demons, Da vince code, Brick lane, Lone eagle, Gone with wind, Mirror Image, Girl with pearl earring, Perfect stranger, The kite runner, A thousand splendid suns, Love story, Svart i Hitler Tyskalnd, To Kill A Mockingbird, Sophie Scholl, Peer Gynt, Widow for a year, Twilight series, The Secret life of bees..

She reads norwegian books as well. So please post the books you would recomend for her. Also if anybody here is selling one I can buy it off you.

I'd look into these today.
What about "Stephen king's Dark tower series".? I read a lot of great things about that. Do you think that she would like it by looking at the books i mentioned.?

I'm reading The Dark Tower series now and am really liking it. The Gunslinger wasn't that great, but the second book, The Drawing of the Three was excellent. I haven't started the third book yet. I would recommend the series based on what I have read so far.

I don't think Stephen King would be what you were looking for based on the list you provide. I would suggest anything by Jodi Picoult, but she might also like Love in the Time of Cholera by Garcia Marquez. I found it a little tough to get into at first-- I kept losing myself in the language, it's very beautiful-- but it ended up being my favorite book by the end of it.

Dan Brown (author of The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons) just put out a new book on Tuesday. It's called 'The Lost Symbol'. Sounds like it'd be perfect for her!

I know that this is an old thread, but I watched the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and I loved it. Up until that time, I had not read the books. I got the book and read it and loved it. I then went and got the Girl Who Played With Fire and am reading it now. I am loving it also. I wish that someone would have turned me on to these a long time ago.
