The Art of War for Writers

Post by Julius_Orange »

For any writers or aspiring writers, I highly recommend this book. It's small and fits right by my computer, serving as an excellent go-to when I run into a wall. I was re-writing a chapter for a novel, and upon coming across chapter 38 (Learn to pace your scene openings for specific affects), it inspired me to start my own chapter. 30 minutes later I had a great 1,000 word base that I could build upon and will be essential in establishing one of my main characters back story.

The best thing about this book is you can open up to any page and gain something by it.

Sounds interesting.

Is the book more useful for novelists, i.e., writers of fiction?

Or does it comprehensively deal with all genres of writing?

Also, does it assist in providing input on how research should be organised for non-fiction books and the use of sources on the internet?

When was the book written?

Thanks!
