"A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man" - opinio

Post by eliil1 »

Just done reading Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov and The Informers by Bret Easton Ellis , and was looking for my next book. Been thinking about "A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man" by James Joyce . What do you think of the book ?

Thx,
Eli.

I found it quite readable. It wasn't much of a chore to get through and I seem to remember getting quite into it.

To be honest, the older I get, the more childish my taste in fiction is. But I don't remember being bored by this one, and I'd far rather tackle Portrait a second time than Ulysses :)

Wow... I've been on this forum five minutes and that's twice I've dissed Ulysses. I don't have an agenda, I promise!

Jams Joyce? I only read a little of Ulysses and couldn't finish it.
