Okay your review had me laughing and giggling so this sounds like a book that I would enjoy. I love that this book sounds like so much fun and that the characters are so engaging. I'm eternally grateful that that horrible perfume they tried to concoct was a failure on one hand but a bizarre success on the other. LOL! I'm putting this book on my to-be-read shelf.

Tara Basi is an expert in subtle satire. I am eager to join Bobby and Terry in their shenanigans. Their solutions to problems may sound ridiculous, but the logic is evident if we look at them with innocent eyes. I'm ready to laugh.

I love that you mention the book has some really funny elements but also has some deeper storylines. This is a really great review and I loved that you gave some examples of the boys' antics.

Exhilarating repartee and ridiculously funny stuff. I like it. This reminds me of Mark Twain's Huckleberry Finn, (is that right?) as I remember from schooldays. The humor is highly intellectual, encompassing Global Warming, women, erectile dysfunction, and a host of other satirical constructs. Thanks for the great review.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting satirical novel about a pair of boys trying to solve a range of issues from small, localized issues to the weather. Well done.

Satire and witty humor is something I've been looking for. This book sounds pretty hilarious and at the same time impressive. I liked the part when you mentioned that despite the overwhelming entertainment, the author managed to embed serious topics and other emotions as well that make the characters relatable and human in a sense. Your review is enlightening and it seems that you enjoyed this book to the fullest. Thanks for the wonderful review!

Interesting ideas, dry wit, and peppered with real problems. A definite must read. Thank you for the review.

At a very young age, two Elementary boys from a Catholic school in a Small Island, decided to take on some of the challenges of Community social issues, Global warming, Women's problem, Politics, Changes, Economics, Philosophy and War.

"Masterminders" by Tara Basi shared the story of Terry whose mom had to work several jobs to take care of her family as she experienced a horrible custody battle and the Dad lived his separate ways.

On the other hand, Bobby had to handle the situation of his sick Dad. These two boys had to face obstacles on the playground to gather truth. Throughout the school year Bobby and Terry had their support group for the project which included several natives from the Small Island. Also, they had a mixture of reality, coped with death of a loved one, made new friends and continued on the road to success.

It sounds like a comical coming-of-age story that mixes maturity with humor. The boys try to cope with the sudden changes in their lives, some tinged with tragedy, with schemes and jokes. That's kind of true to life, too. Sounds like an entertaining story! Thanks for your review!

Humor is an essential ingredient in the best stories. It makes action movies, it brings bright moments in dramas, and comedies are all about the humorous side of life. This story featuring the exploits of a couple boys, makes me think of the Fresh Prince ventures of Will Smith. There is a lot of great story telling that come from such characters and the life’s of other characters affected by their adventures. Great review!
