CJ appears to be a strong character. I can imagine how frustrated she must have been to venture into destructive behaviors to salvage her marriage. The dynamics of a successful career may be different from that of a successful relationship; I hope she found a balance. I will check this book out. Thanks for the review.

A usual case of infidelity on the side of the husband but a new intriguing plot on the side of the wife. I am looking forward to know more about CJ and her choices in life. Also, I am intrigued with the interactions of the estranged couple.

This book seems pretty interesting. Although I think it is for a more mature reader, not in age but in mindset. I only read the first 3 chapters, so maybe the overall character development will entice me to read it again in the future, but at this stage, I think I still prefer fantasy based books rather than moral delimas, life altering decisions, and characters so far from my own age. Thanks for the review.

Honestly, this book seems fairly intriguing because to everyone outside CJ's personal life it would seem like she and her husband have a close personal relationship. CJ is intelligent but lacks the ability to maintain a healthy relationship. This book seems interesting and might try it during this quarantine period. Thanks!

This book reminds me of the fact that no one can compensate for lack of skills. On the other hand, it tells of the danger in assuming things. The story is an eye-opener. Thanks for sharing. Great review!

The book sounds interesting. It is really difficult to maintain balance between your personal life and professional life and very often either one suffers greatly and the person has to make choices and sometimes sacrifices. I will have to read the book to figure out what are the consequences of CJ's decisions. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

This definitely sounds like a real and character-driven story. I have met people like CJ who are so successful and skilled in their professional life but their personal lives are unfortunately in shambles. I'm glad you enjoyed the book. Great and thorough review!

I love that this story is very relatable, it is quite difficult to find a woman that has all the boxes ticked. A very interesting plot worth reading. Thanks for the review.

Another splendid review! The sample was addictive. I hope CJ finds true and lasting happiness, even without Trey.

I felt sad when I read about the marital tensions in the sample, and the way her husbsnds reply seemed so cold and as if he did not miss her and think of her at all. Yet she seemed inexperienced and had not known someone else before. I think your review catches most of this and what the book was about.

Thanks for the thorough review.

Good review. I know many stories that start off like this. Woman needs attention and husband is too busy with work to see it. I can’t wait to see what she does.
